Congrats to Lauren Hill for making the March/April 2008 cover of Hunter and Sport Horse Magazine with our Irish import *Kilfenora Rosie O'Day! She is also featured in an article titled "14.2 Hands of Success" with farm stallion Seaborne's Schooner, *Kilfenora Rosie O'Day, and Connemara/TB cross Seaborne's Billabong. Billabong was recently purchased by Chrissy Mitchell of Buckhead, GA!
2007 IHSA Nationals Boston, MA
Lauren finished her senior year at NCSU not only graduating with honors but with the IHSA national finals under her belt. With her points earned throughout the year she was the reserve high point open level rider of Region III. She qualified for Zone finals at the 2007 Regional competition hosted by Saint Andrews Presbyterian College in Laurinburg, NC upon winning the Open Equitation under saddle class. Lauren automatically qualified for Open Equitation over fences by being one of only three riders to accumulate enough points. At Zone finals hosted by Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA she placed second in Open Equitation on the flat securing her a spot to compete at nationals. A tough ride at Zones in the Open over fences kept her from jumping at nationals but did not stop her from earing 4th place, only 2 spots from qualifying. The atmosphere at IHSA nationals was unreal, the best of the nation were there and it was evident. Another tough ride in the Open Equitation on the flat kept Lauren from the ribbons but she was still thrilled to be one of the top 18 intercollegiate Open level riders in the nation!

We would like to congratulate (Seaborne's) Navigator on his continuing success in the Large Pony Hunters. He has won the USDF Clifton Trophy for high scoring Connemara pony hunter on more than one occasion and is currently one of the top ponies in the nation!
